Chelsea Trio Heading for QPR?
After Jimmy Smith and Michael Mancienne both had successful loan spells at Loftus Road, there are rumours surfacing that the Shepherds Bush outfit may take a trio this time.
Tonight, the Evening Standard is reporting that as well as Jimmy Smith and Michael Mancienne, Queens Park Rangers fancy taking Scott Sinclair as well.
It transpires that QPR see the acquisition of Scott, on loan, as the perfect replacement for when they sell their own winger, Lee Cook.
Quite whether the move will materialise remains to be seen. Whilst we see no objections from Mourinho to Smith and Mancienne returning to Loftus Road for a second loan period, he may well be adverse to a move for Sinclair.
Sinclair, as we all recall, spent a loan period at Plymouth last season during which Chelsea and Plymouth established a harmonious relationship, Mourinho may well be tempted to resurrect that situation or he may well choose to go down an entirely different route.
Once he returned to Chelsea, Sinclair made a good impression on Mourinho with good displays against Arsenal and Manchester United before a shocking Wes Brown tackle put him out for the remainder of the season. Therefore, Mourinho may prefer to have Sinclair on the fringes of the first team suspecting that this could be his year to make the breakthrough.
