Carling Cup final back in Cardiff
The Football League confirmed on Wednesday that this season's Carling Cup final will again be played at the Millennium Stadium.
The final is scheduled to be played in Cardiff on Sunday, 25 February.
The Football League's head of communications, John Nagle, said: \"We look forward to taking this match to Cardiff once again.
\"The Millennium Stadium has provided a terrific home for the Carling Cup final in each of the last six seasons.\"
The League Cup arrived at the Millennium Stadium for the 2000/1 season while the new Wembley Stadium was under construction.
Liverpool beat Birmingham that year on penalties, with Blackburn, Liverpool again, Middlesbrough, Chelsea and last season Manchester United all winners.
Wembley is expected to be ready for this season's FA Cup final after a catalogue of delays and problems, but will not be prepared to host a major final in February.
The Wales rugby union side will be in the middle of its RBS Six Nations campaign during this period, but has two away games in the middle of February.
A home Test against Ireland on 4 February gives groundstaff ample time to prepare the Millennium Stadium for football and the Carling Cup final.
The Carling Cup final will return to the new Wembley Stadium once completed.
