Burton 1-0 Forest GreenShaun Harrad's stunning strike consigned Forest Green to their 19th League defeat of the season.
The Burton man came off the bench to win it for his side with a low 20-yard effort a minute before the break.
Burton dominated the game for long spells and Kris Taylor, Daryl Clare and Andrew Ducros all went close in the opening 30 minutes.
Rovers stay bottom of the Conference table but have a game in hand in two of their three relegation rivals.

Burton's Tinson hopes to play on
Veteran defender Darren Tinson wants to stay on for another season with Burton Albion, after being named as their supporters' player of the year.
The 36-year-old also works as a physiotherapist - but hopes to agree a new deal with the Brewers soon.
"I have expressed my desire to stay - I think the club has got a good future and I obviously want to be a part of it," he told the club website.
"I've looked after myself - touch wood, I can carry on for a bit longer."

Burton line up replacement keeper
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough is close to finalising his goalkeeping plans for next season.
Current number-one Saul Deeley has not yet committed himself to a new contract with the Brewers and Clough has lined up a possible alternative.
"We'll be making a decision on Thursday one way or the other," said Clough.
"We've been offered a loan goalkeeper from a League club and really it's who we decide to take so we said we'd let Saul know on Thursday."

Gravesend 0-1 Burton
Kris Taylor's first-half goal claimed the points for Burton as Nigel Clough's side signed off the season in style.
Taylor netted after 36 minutes with a left-footed free-kick which sailed into the top right-hand corner of the net.
The away side dominated the first half and Jon Shaw had a chance early on, but he struck the ball past the post.
Jay Saunders had Gravesend's best chances, hitting the bar with a header in the first half and going close again with two attempts late on.

Clough chases Curtis and Richards
Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough is hoping to persuade Tom Curtis and Justin Richards to join the Brewers.
Chester midfielder Curtis is now out of contract and striker Richards is due to play his last game for Woking in Sunday's FA Trophy final against Grays.
"I'm expecting quick decisions from both players because we don't want to be hanging around until June," he said.
"The Trophy final's held up things but hopefully we'll see Justin next week and get a picture of his intentions."

Burton swoop for Scarborough star
Burton Albion have secured the signing of Scarborough midfielder Lee Fowler.
Fowler has agreed a two-year deal at the Pirelli Stadium after being told he could leave Scarborough
The 23-year-old joined Boro from Huddersfield Town, initially on loan, last November when he was also a target for Burton boss Nigel Clough.
Fowler made 25 Conference appearances for the Seasiders this season, but could not prevent them finishing bottom of the table.

Campbell stars in win over Burton
Birmingham striker DJ Campbell scored four times as they cruised past Conference side Burton in Saturday's friendly at the Pirelli Stadium.
Campbell has failed to score a league goal for the Blues since his £500,000 move from Brentford in January.
But he opened the scoring in the sixth minute at Burton, before adding three more goals within a two-minute spell in the last five minutes of the game.
Cameron Jerome got City's other goal, with Andy Ducros netting for Burton.

Scoffham stays on trial at Burton
Former Notts County striker Steve Scoffham is to be given an extended chance to earn a deal with Burton.
Scoffham, 22, played for the Brewers in their friendly defeat to Birmingham on Saturday and will continue to be assessed by Burton boss Nigel Clough.
\"Steve is definitely in contention and we would like to have a longer look at him,\" Clough told the Burton Mail.
\"He's trained with us once so far but he'll be with us this week and will play against Wolves on Saturday.\"

Burton v Kidderminster
Burton are set to welcome back winger Keith Gilroy but captain Darren Stride is doubtful with a neck injury.
Striker Daryl Clare should retain his place despite breaking a finger in his last outing but midfielder Chris Hall is ruled out with an ankle injury.
Kidderminster could give starts to Brian Smikle, Luke Reynolds and Simon Russell, who were all substitutes in the 3-1 defeat to St Albans.
Jeff Kenna should keep his starting place after scoring in that game.

Burton v Oxford
Burton defender Darren Tinson is struggling with a calf injury and is doubtful for the Pirelli Stadium match.
Albion skipper Darren Stride appears to be over the worse after suffering a neck injury and is back in contention.
Oxford will be without Barry Quinn for the trip to Burton after the defender was sent off in the midweek while Chris Wilmott serve the last game of his ban.
Manager Jim Smith must decide whether to alternate to a three-man defence or draft in youngster Andrew Gunn.

Burton 1-2 Oxford
Two late goals from Robert Duffy helped maintain Oxford's 100% start to the season against Burton.
Burton took a first-half lead when Andrew Ducros crossed for his strike partner Daryl Clare to head home after 15 minutes.
Oxford equalised in the 75th minute when Duffy nodded Yemi Odubade's cross into the bottom corner.
The Us completed a fine comeback with four minutes remaining with a Duffy penalty after Odubade was brought down.

Burton defender Ryan Austin could play against Southport if manager Nigel Clough appeals against his dismissal in the loss to York on Friday.
Winger Keith Gilroy is pushing for a place in the starting line-up while striker Jon Shaw could replace Steve Scoffham in attack.
Southport have doubts over left-back Lee Hoolickin and midfielders Liam Blakeman and Carl Baker.
Centre-back Paul Martin returns after suspension but Alex Smith may miss out.

Brewers still want Crewe keeper
Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough is still hoping to sign Crewe keeper Stuart Tomlinson before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
Clough has been chasing Tomlinson, 21, since the summer, when a proposed loan switch to the Pirelli Stadium was delayed because of a calf injury.
He has made one first-team appearance for Crewe this season, in last week's 3-0 Carling Cup win at Grimsby.
But the move may hinge on whether Crewe can bring in another keeper as cover.

Grays Athletic 0-1 Burton Albion
High-flying Grays Athletic suffered a shock defeat at home to Nigel Clough's Burton Albion.
Andrew Ducros scored the only goal after 69 minutes with a 25-yard strike that left home goalkeeper Ashley Bayes with no chance.
Both defences had been on top prior to Ducros's strike, that handed Burton their second away win of the season.
Grays did come close to a goal but Burton keeper Kevin Poole made a good save to deny Adam Green.

Burton Albion 1-1 WeymouthSubstitute Raphael Nade struck in the last minute to earn Weymouth a draw against Burton Albion.
Daryl Clare gave the home side an eighth-minute lead with a right-footed shot from 12 yards after good work from Chris Hall on the right wing.
Albion continued to dominate but went into the break just a goal ahead against an uninspired Weymouth side.
The home side had the best of the second half but Nade struck from close range just before full-time.
