Braga v Portsmouth
Portsmouth are again likely to be without French international midfielder Lassana Diarra, for their opening Group E encounter in Portugal. Diarra has a knee injury and will be joined on the sidelines by compatriot Younes Kaboul, who has a back problem. Another Frenchman, Noe Pamarot, could keep his place in defence after an impressive display in Saturday's goalless draw at Aston Villa. Richard Hughes is out, but Sean Davis can play before his ban kicks in. Braga - who have never beaten an English side in five European attempts - are likely to field five Brazilians in their starting line-up. And up front, Cameroon international striker Albert Meyong, is likely to partner Colombian Wason Renteria. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp told the club's website: "I spoke to somebody who used to play for me, who is now out in Portugal, and he knows everything about Braga. He also knew about Guimaraes, the last team we played. They were a good team but I've told Braga are a better team. So it will be a tough game. "Ideally it would have been better to have Braga at home. But you can't pick and choose. We need to win but it isn't going to be easy."
