Boss hopeful of R's loan ace's return
Loan defender Michael Mancienne is in a battle to overcome a back injury in time for QPR's game against Plymouth at Loftus Road.
The youngster, who is on loan with the R's from Premiership giants Chelsea, was forced to miss Saturday's 1-1 draw at Leicester because of the problem and boss John Gregory is looking for him to play some part against the Pilgrims on Tuesday evening.
"Michael has got a bit of a back problem which has restricted his mobility a bit with his right hamstring," he told the club's official website.
"Because we're so close to Chelsea he's able to pop back every now and then to get some treatment, which he did last week.
"He saw their club doctor and had an injection to try and speed up the healing process in his back."
He added: "We felt it was too much to risk him on Saturday, but he's got a good chance of being back in the squad on Tuesday night."
