Bolton close in on Stovini deal
Bolton hope to tie up a deal for Italian central defender Lorenzo Stovini by the end of Friday.
Stovini, 30, is out of contract after spending the last five seasons at Serie A side Lecce.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce hopes to sign Stovini by the time the Trotters leave for their pre-season tour of Spain on Saturday.
A club spokesman told Sir Stanley: \"Stovini has a lot of qualities and should adapt to the Premiership.\"
Allardyce said: \"He is very experienced and will add more depth to our squad.\"
Stovini started his career at Roma before moving on to Vicenza and Reggina.
He made 136 starts for Lecce, scoring two goals.
