Blues' £2m deal hope
Birmingham City are hoping to sell striker Rowan Vine to QPR for £2million after the club's latest significant cash injection.
Vine, 25, has been on loan at Rangers for two months - scoring three goals and rounded off a 2-0 win at Burnley last week with his latest strike.
QPR are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window because of their lowly league position and the lofty ambitions of millionaire investors Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and now Lakshmi Mittal.
The Indian steel magnate bought a 20 per cent stake in the club this week, making them one of the wealthiest clubs in the country.
Boss Alex McLeish is keen to offload a player who arrived at St Andrews in January from Luton for £2.5m, and will see if anything can be done early next year.
He said: "I will talk to Vine's agent."
