Benitez knows little about Haifa
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez admitted he knows \"little\" about Champions League opponents Maccabi Haifa. Benitez's men face the Israeli side Tonight in the first leg of the third qualifying round. \"We know we are facing a good team, they have won the title in Israel for the last three years,\" he said. \"We only know a little about them and they will know us better. They've been studying videos and they see English football all the time on TV.\" However, Benitez added that he had faced Haifa when he managed in Spain. \"I know them, when I was at Valencia we played them three seasons ago when we went on to win the Uefa Cup as well as the title,\" he said. \"Winning at home is crucial, but I saw Haifa draw 0-0 at Valencia, and we had to win 4-0 away to go through. We must make sure that we make the best use of Anfield, it is our advantage. \"We know we must do a lot better on our own ground and score goals. It will help for the second leg, wherever it is.\" The decision on where the return leg will be played is due to made on Friday, after Uefa decided they would move the match away from Israel because of the ongoing troubles in the Middle East. It has been suggested that Kiev in Ukraine may be chosen as the alternative venue.
