Anderlecht v Tottenham
Spurs have left struggling defender Younes Kaboul out of their squad after a series of error-strewn displays. Head coach Juande Ramos will use a makeshift defence instead, with a succession of players out injured or out of favour. Others out include captain Ledley King, Anthony Gardner, Gareth Bale, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Ricardo Rocha. Midfielder Jermaine Jenas is back after an ankle injury and could return to the side in Belgium. Tottenham's assistant manager Gus Poyet on Kaboul staying at home: "It's not a fall-out, or anything like that. "Sometimes it's better to leave a player at home and train. It's nothing else. "We don't have a good number of other defenders so maybe we will play him again very soon. Spurs head coach Juande Ramos: "As a trainer I always set out to win every game I play, independent of the opposition or the competition. "I like attacking football, but it's fundamental they are supported by the defence to get good results. "The best form of defence is attack, that is the philosophy we are trying to implement and, hopefully, we will do it against Anderlecht."
