Anderlecht target move for Buffel
Belgian league leaders Anderlecht have made public their interest in Rangers midfielder Thomas Buffel.
"Buffel is a player who is automatically top of the list," Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck told Het Laatste Nieuws.
"But we do not want to raise our fans' hopes falsely. There is no contract with Rangers yet."
"He still has a contract for one-and-a-half years at Rangers and he gets about £1m per year."
Rangers paid Dutch club Feyenoord £2.3m for the Belgian international in January 2005.
Injury has dogged the Belgian international's time in Glasgow and he has managed just six goals this season.
