Ancelotti extends deal with Milan
AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has committed himself to the club by signing a one-year contract extension.
The 46-year-old is now under contract at the San Siro until 30 June 2008.
Ancelotti, who is in his fifth season with Milan after moving from Juventus in 2001, had been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
"There was a temptation to go, but I chose to extend the deal. I think that was the best choice," the Ansa news agency quoted Ancelotti as saying.
Ancelotti led the club to the Champions League title in 2003 and the Serie A title in 2004.
But the team blew a 3-0 lead against Liverpool to lose last year's Champions League final, and finished second to Juventus in Serie A last season.
Milan also trail Juventus in the standings this season.
