Alfreton sign Cape Verde veteran
Alfreton Town have signed experienced Cape Verde defender Georges Santos, after the much-travelled player found himself out of contract. The 37-year-old signed for Chesterfield in August but his short-term contract was not renewed in November. Since leaving the Spireites, Santos has had unsuccessful trials at Lincoln City and Rotherham United. Born in Marseille, Santos has also played for Tranmere, West Brom, Grimsby, Ipswich, and Sheffield United. Alfreton have also extended the loan of Josh Law from Chesterfield until the end of the season.

good luck george if there was one thing you got from him was effort and commitment.he must have played every position on the team sheet but never moaned...just got on with it.maybe some younger players "ben sahar" could take a leaf from his book.

I think there are a bunch of players from other clubs too who could benefit from an attitude like that...too many pre madonna's!!

sometimers i hear reports of the likes of john terry urinating on a night club floor and i feel badly let down.would bobby moore have done tha...no terry in my opinion should be stripped of any captaincy and tought a severe lesson in humility.

I feel that when Capello comes in things will change big time, hes a man not be tested and there are a few in the England squad who may suffer if attitudes dont change....sorry to go off topic a little!! :eng:
