Aldershot v Kidderminster
Aldershot defender Darren Barnard is back in the squad following his one-match suspension. Mark Molesley (back) has returned to training but is not yet fit while Rhys Day (knee) and Mark Pritchard (ankle) remain long-term absentees. Defender Paul Bignot is the most notable absentee from the Kidderminster squad as he serves a three-game ban. Jeff Kenna continues to be hampered by a hamstring problem, while Russell Penn is struggling with a knock.

Aldershot 4-2 Kidderminster
Marcus Gayle rolled back the years as he struck a 10-minute hat-trick for Aldershot as they beat Kidderminster. The Shots went ahead when John Grant fired home, but Harriers levelled when Iyseden Christie headed in. Christie made it 2-1 just before the break with a spectacular 25-yard shot that flew past keeper Nikki Bull. After the interval Gayle took over, heading in his first, then lashing in a left-foot shot before completing his treble with another clinical header. Aldershot v Morecambe
Aldershot could be boosted by the return of midfielder Mark Moseley who has been out with a back injury. Striker Marcus Gayle is set to remain on the bench, despite scoring a hat-trick after coming on as substitute against Kidderminster. Morecambe skipper Jim Bentley is set to miss out with a recurrence of an Achilles injury. Gary Hunter is doubtful with an ankle knock and Garry Thompson serves the second of a three-match ban.

Aldershot 0-1 Morecambe
Curtis Oseno's own goal in first-half stoppage time handed Morecambe victory. The defender connected with an Adriano Rigoglioso cross and could only watch in despair as his header flew past goalkeeper Nikki Bull into the net. It was rough on Aldershot after Mark Molesley and Ben Harding both went close with long-range efforts. Shots keeper Bull denied David McNiven before John Grant and David Lee both went close to grabbing an equaliser for the unfortunate home side. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aldershot: Bull, Oseno (Soares 81), Edwards, Winfield, Barnard, Lee, Harding, Molesley (Smith 63), Williams (Joel Grant 57), John Grant, Gayle. Oxford Utd v Aldershot
Oxford United are without Marvin Robinson, who has a knee injury, and the suspended Matt Day. Eddie Hutchinson is hoping for a starting berth after turning down a loan move to Port Vale. Aldershot defender Rhys Day came through a Hampshire Cup match in midweek and could start after recovering from an ankle injury. Marcus Gayle is expected to partner in-form Joel Grant in attack, but Mark Pritchard (knee) is ruled out.

Oxford Utd 2-0 Aldershot
Andy Burgess scored twice as Oxford extended their unbeaten run to 18 league games. Burgess scored from the penalty spot after Chris Oseno fouled Yemi Odubade with 20 minutes left and then struck with a left-footed drive. Shots keeper Nikki Bull had a busy afternoon, saving from Odubade and Eddie Anaclet. But the visitors had their chances as well, with Ryan Williams spurning the best as he missed from six yards. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oxford Utd: Turley, Willmott, Quinn, Gilchrist, Anaclet, Pettefer, Burgess, Hargreaves, Brevett (Johnson 76), Odubade (Hutchinson 88), Duffy (Basham 65). Chelmsford v Aldershot
Chelmsford City defensive duo Steve Ward and Spencer Knight are doubtful after injury forced them out of last week's win over Boreham Wood. But Chris Duffy managed to play in an Essex Senior Cup tie in midweek and should be fit enough to play. Aldershot midfielder Ryan Scott is sidelined with a damaged ankle, whilst Dave Winfield and Mark Pritchard are major injury concerns. Striker John Grant is back after a bout of flu that has now struck Ben Harding.

SirStanleyBowles- 11-24-2006
Rushden & D'monds v Aldershot
Rushden caretaker-boss Tony Godden will carry on \"for the foreseeable future\" and he has just one injury concern. Jon Ashton is continuing to struggle with a knee injury, but Dan Grainger is back after a bout of Tonsillitis. Aldershot will be without Andy Edwards (ankle) and fellow defender David Winfield (broken toe), as well as Mark Pritchard (ankle). Marcus Gayle and Mark Molesley are both rated as 50/50 for the trip to Nene Park after picking up knocks.

Aldershot 2-1 Forest Green
Darren Barnard's last-minute strike earned Aldershot a deserved win and extended Forest Green's winless streak to five games. After Rhys Day, Curtis Oseno and John Grant had gone close, defender Louis Soares put the home side ahead on half-time with a long range shot. Kevin Nicholson's shot from outside the box levelled things, but this only inspired Aldershot to go on the attack. At the death, their persistence paid off when Barnard bent in a free-kick. Aldershot: Bull, Oseno, Newman (Edwards 73), Day, Barnard, Soares, Molesley (Harding 78), Scott, John Grant, Williams, Hudson (Pritchard 74). Subs Not Used: Wells, Beckford. Mark Molesley is doubtful after being struck down by a virus, young defenders Phil Anderson and Dave Winfield are struggling for match fitness.

Broken leg ends Edwards' season
Aldershot defender Andy Edwards is set to miss the rest of the season after breaking a leg in Saturday's defeat to Crawley Town. Manager Terry Brown told his club's official website: "This injury is likely to rule him out for the remainder of the season." He added "I really feel for Andy because he has been dogged with bad fortune recently." Edwards, 35, moved to the Recreation Ground from Southend last summer.

Aldershot's Gayle out for a month
Veteran Aldershot striker Marcus Gayle is to undergo surgery on his knee injury which will keep him out of action for more than a month. Shots boss Terry Brown told his club's website: "Marcus has a cartilage problem and knee ligament damage and he will require an operation. "Although Marcus is a fit individual I would be surprised if he is playing before the middle of March. "It really depends on how much ligament damage there is." Former Jamaica international Gayle, 36, has scored seven goals in 17 Conference starts for the Shots since signing from Brentford last summer.

SirStanleyBowles- 04-05-2007
Striker Grant pens Aldershot deal
Aldershot Town striker John Grant has signed new two-year contract. The former Crewe and Shrewsbury forward, 25, has scored 20 goals this season after joining the Shots from Halifax Town last summer. Grant told his club's website: "I have had some interest from Football League clubs but I want to stay at Aldershot because I feel wanted here. "The supporters are so passionate and I want to be a part of a future that I think is looking good."

Shots failure leaves Kuhl fuming
Aldershot caretaker boss Martin Kuhl was left frustrated by Shots' failure to win at Kidderminster. Kuhl, who is hoping to be appointed on a permanent basis, saw a first away win under his charge, slip away. He told Shots' website: "I'm bitterly disappointed, we had enough possession and chances to have won. "I said afterwards that whoever is in charge next season, teams like Kidderminster have to be beaten to have any hopes of winning the league."
