Reading youngsters are loaned out
Reading have allowed 19-year-olds Ryan Crockford and Scott Rendell to join non-league sides on work experience. Midfielder Crockford will join Conference side Aldershot for the rest of the season, while striker Rendell has joined Conference South side Hayes. Also joining Aldershot until the end of the season is attacking midfielder Mazin Ahmad, 21, from Kingstonian. Meanwhile, Reading have decided not to offer a contract to DR Congo international Lord-Kangana N'Diwa. The former Bolton defender recently played in a reserve game, but the Premiership-bound Royals will not pursue their interest further.

Defender Heald leaves Aldershot
Aldershot defender Greg Heald has left the club as he looks to pursue a career outside the professional game. "I have got some studies to concentrate on and some future work and I have to look to the future," Heald, 34, told Aldershot's website. He joined the Shots in August and played his last game at the weekend. Meanwhile, former Shots striker Roscoe D'Sane, 25, has joined Ryman League side Wealdstone following an 18-month battle with injury.

Tamworth manager salutes players
Boss Mark Cooper hopes his Tamworth players can keep their form going after beating Aldershot 2-1 on Tuesday to get off the foot of the Conference table. "We showed great determination and deserved to win and this Saturday's game at home to Canvey is another massive one for us," Cooper said. "We've got to get the run going. I am a believer of things going in cycles hopefully and we've turned the corner." Dave Bampton is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Aldershot v Cambridge United
Aldershot will be without defender Greg Heald for their clash against Cambridge as he has decided to become a teacher. Crawley 2-0 Aldershot
Michael Bostwick struck his first goal for Crawley to help them to a victory that virtually ends any chance of them being dragged into a relegation battle. They can still mathematically be caught by Scarborough but their superior goal difference means they should be safe. Omari Coleman opened the scoring, latching on to Lee Blackburn's ball from the right. Crawley gave themselves breathing space on 55 minutes when Bostwick drilled home Danny Ekoku's left-wing cross. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crawley Town: Smith, Judge, Brown, Mendy, Giles (Woozley 79), Bostwick, Blackburn, Marshall, Coleman (Jenkins 45), Burton (Gavin Gordon 57), Ekoku. Shots players given stern warning
Aldershot manager Terry Brown has warned some of his players they have no future at the club following Monday's 3-0 home defeat by Grays. "I have to say that I am embarrassed by what I saw and embarrassed for the fans who deserve better," said Brown. "There were too many players who are seeing the season out and quite frankly their performances make my job that much easier at the end of the season. "I hope some of them don't think they will be playing here after that."

Aldershot v Woking
Long-term injury victim David Lee is set to return to the Aldershot line-up ahead of Saturday's visit of Woking. The 26-year-old midfielder has recovered from a broken leg but Gary Holloway and striker Kirk Hudson will both face late fitness tests. Woking will be without Steve Ferguson (suspended) and Chris Sharpling (hernia) while striker Justin Richards (ankle) is doubtful. Midfielder Ian Selley is expected to return from an Achilles injury.

Aldershot 1-1 Woking
Jonny Dixon's second-half equaliser was enough to earn Aldershot a draw in a lacklustre encounter with Woking. Justin Richards pounced in the seventh minute to open the scoring after Aldershot failed to regroup following Liam Cockerill's near-post corner. Craig McAllister almost doubled the lead two minutes later, but he shot wide when well-placed. Dixon then levelled when he headed home Nick Crittenden's free-kick from close range to claim a point. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aldershot: Bull, Hamilton (Crockford 45), Winfield, Simpemba, Barnard, Somner, Holloway, Hudson (Williams 62), Crittenden, Ahmad (Matthews 77), Dixon. Shots manager delays Lee comeback
Aldershot Town midfielder David Lee is to have his comeback from injury delayed until next season. Lee, 26, suffered a broken leg back in August, and Brown has shelved plans for a possible return this term. "Dave has seen a specialist who said he could risk it but to be I don't see the point of risking anything at the moment," Brown told the club website. "He has another 10 weeks between now and the start of pre-season training. I would rather that he be 100% for then."

Southport 0-1 Aldershot
Darren Barnard's second-half penalty was enough to give Aldershot victory. Barnard comfortably slotted home from the spot after Michael Powell had upended Kirk Hudson 67 minutes in. Southport's leading scorer Steve Daly missed arguably the best chance of the first half just before the break when he headed wide from six yards. Neil Robinson was a whisker away from giving the the home side the lead after 66 minutes as his right-foot strike from 20 yards struck the post. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Southport: Dickinson, Lane, Davis, Roberts, Fitzgerald, Booth, Morley (Powell 61), Pickford (Baker 61), Blakeman, Jackson, Daly (Robinson 45).
