Ainsworth praises striker Nygaard
Queens Park Rangers wide-man Gareth Ainsworth has hailed striker Marc Nygaard as "a winger's dream."
"For a player like me, he's great. I've been really impressed with him since he's come in," Ainsworth added.
"He's big, strong and powerful and perfect for someone like me that likes getting to the by-line and getting the ball in the box."
After a shaky start to his Rangers career, Nygaard has scored in both his last two matches.
The 6ft 6in Dane found the net with headers at Leicester and Millwall and thrives on crosses.
"When he first joined I have to be honest, I did wonder about him," Ainsworth admitted.
"But you see the tricks he does in training and the ability he has and it's clear he's a really good player.
"We've got a lot in common. His attitude is the same as mine. He wants to work his backside off and runs until he drops, and that's exactly the way I am.
"We're very different players of course but in terms of commitment, I see a lot of myself in him.
"We've got other good players. Paul Furlong was prolific last season and Kevin (Gallen) is back now.
"But Marc's a good option for us, no doubt about it."
