Ainsworth loving his new role
QPR winger Gareth Ainsworth has revealed he is relishing his new role among the coaching staff at Loftus Road.
The 34-year-old has been used as Luigi De Canio's unofficial assistant manager in recent weeks when he is not in the team, and can be seen barking instructions to the players from the touchline.
"It's fantastic and I'm ever so grateful to Gigi for giving me the opportunity to help him out," said Ainsworth.
"Leadership and motivation come naturally to me, and I'm also starting to get a greater understanding of the technical side of the game, which sometimes you take for granted as a player.
"Gigi has some great ideas and sometimes he likes me to get the message over to the players for him. It's working well and long may it continue."
