AINSWORTH INSPIRES HOOPS - GREGORY
QPR boss John Gregory expects winger Gareth Ainsworth to be a key figure in his team's fight against relegation.
The 33-year-old turned in two energetic displays in the recent matches against promotion-chasing duo West Brom and Preston, and Gregory hailed the impact Ainsworth has on his team-mates.
Gregory said: "The way Gareth goes about his job epitomises what our dressing room is all about. He wears his heart on his sleeve.
"When he has been injured, he has been our best supporter. He is in the dressing room pumping everyone up, and he almost gives the team talk himself.
"Many times this season, during half-time, he has been our number one cheerleader before we go back out for the second half - whether he has been playing or not.
"Gareth is an outstanding personality. He inspires other people in the side."
