Adriano agrees to Inter extension
Adriano has signed a contract extension with Inter Milan that will keep him with the Serie A giants until 2010.
The Brazilian striker, 23, was strongly linked to Chelsea in the summer, but his new deal seems to have put an end to any prospective Premiership move.
The extension, which adds two years to his deal, exercises an option written into the contract he signed after returning to Inter from Parma in 2004.
He scored 16 goals in 30 league outings last season and has 24 Brazil caps.
And he has scored a remarkable 17 goals in his international outings.
Adriano joined Inter in 2001 from Flamengo in Brazil and went on loan to Fiorentina and Parma, where he scored 22 goals in 36 games, before going back to the San Siro.
