ade's match report sheff utd
sorry its late people but i have been seriously ill with the noro-virus but here it is.the boys started off well passing it around nicely with some nice movement.there is a potential star of the future in balanta he looks every inch a star player.leigertwood didnt have his best game in the hoops but played his part non the less.rowlands again was inspirational and got my motm vote just ahead of fitz hall who proves with every game what a class act he is.he for me has been our best sgning along with ageymang.the secod half started off much the same as the first but i could sense we needed another goal to kill them off and yet again i was proved right.we still cant seem to stop sitting back on a lead instead of going for the jugular which needs addressing.all in all i look at it at three points thrown away instead of a point gained but last season we would have lost this game.the mprovement under gigi is obvious to see but there is still room for plenty more.
hello Ade, thanks for that and I hope you are feeling better!!!
My 2p worth goes like this, your last point about being better than this point last year yes I agree but it couldn't really have been any worse!! The Balanta issue for me is like this, every time he has played the commentators have commented on how very little he does then low and behold he pops up and scores, the last time he done sod all he made a goal!! just goes to show what he could do if he applied himself a little more. Glad to hear that Rowlands is still performing and he truely is Premiership quality and one we should keep hold of when we need to unload the championship deadwood when the time is right but from what I heard Mr Hall should be chosen as man of the match for his faultless display. I agree that a second goal was needed and again it was much the same old same old from the hoops...in fact from many different corners this match was reported to be a totally dour performance from both sides who thoroughly deserve to be where they are in the division. Im glad that the maybe we can go up has bursted because as I have said before do we really want to be a yoyo sunderland type team who are forever going up and down...I dont think so!!!! As you say Ade we need that killer instinct that we dont possess as we all know even at 2 or 3 up we never feel comfortable and against the better sides in this division we have been well beaten....or dare I say outclassed?? remember Cardiff City and Burnley and before anyone says well what about Bristol City..well what about them?? They are not that good...they have been very lucky which has been commented too elsewhere.
But onwards and upwards striving for a better season next term and me for one Im looking forward to it.....also looking forward to Barnsley tomrow.
Keep up the match reports Ade much appreciated bruv.
