Taarabt has vowed to never play for Morocco again after learning he will start among the substitutes in the country's vital African Nations Cup qualifier with Algeria on Saturday.
Taarabt was incensed after former-manager Dominique Cuperly left him on the bench for a similar clash against Tanzania last October.
And now Morocco's new coach, Eric Gerets, has decided to leave the 22-year-old out of the starting XI for the crucial clash in Marrakech, leaving Taarabt fuming.
He told Moroccan radio station Radio Mars: "I have decided to never play for Morocco again, with or without Eric Gerets in charge.
"I'm very angry and the national team is over for me.
"Every time I come to play for Morocco the same thing happens and I'm sick of this situation."
