Ace facing groin op
Keeper Simon Royce has conceded he may be forced to go under the knife if he is to correct a troublesome groin injury.
Royce has been laid low with the problem since aggravating it in April and suffered a setback in his rehabilitation during pre-season. Having had an operation on the area previously, the ex-Charlton man admits a second round of surgery looks likely.
He told the Wembley & Kingsbury Times: \"I'd started doing some fitness work and that went fine for two or three days, so things were looking quite good. Then I did a session with Tony Roberts and I felt a reaction.
\"If I keep getting those I'm going to have to see the surgeon who operated on me a few years ago, when I was at Leicester, and go back under the knife. It'll be a case of going in, having the scar tissue trimmed and accepting I'll be out for probably another six weeks.\"
