AC Milan will be without striker Ronaldo, who aggravated an injury while warming up at Benfica last week.
Left-backs Marek Jankulovski and Serginho are injured so Daniele Bonera will likely start in defence.
Celtic are missing defenders Lee Naylor, John Kennedy, Mark Wilson and Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe.
Playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura is also injured, while manager Gordon Strachan must decide to stick with two strikers or add Massimo Donati to midfield.

Celtic made into the last 16 of the Champions League, despite losing out to Filippo Inzaghi's record-breaking goal.

Favalli dinked a cross right on to the head of his team-mate inside the six-yard box but the veteran striker skewed his header straight into the arms of surprised Artur Boruc, who was stranded by his near post.
It was a miss that would have embarrassed any Sunday pub league player.
But a few minutes later, the international star was celebrating surpassing Gerd Muller as the top scorer in Uefa competitions - taking his tally to 63.
Cafu raced into the penalty box and cut the ball back for Inzaghi to slip a low shot home from five yards.
Boruc then had to get down smartly to keep out a rasping shot from substitute Cristian Brocchi, while Kalac had his palms warmed by Brown's powerful strike.
Kaka broke clear in the final minute and rounded Boruc but Sno got back to make a great saving tackle.
