A day at the track The QPR First Team squad enjoyed a team bonding session at The Raceway Go-Karting circuit in London Docklands earlier today.
Organised by Club Captain Gareth Ainsworth, players from Luigi De Canio's R's squad, as well as members of the backroom staff, locked horns on the track, in a winner-takes-all showdown.
Reigning Champion Martin Rowlands, a winner on the two previous occasions, was the bookies favourite to emerge victorious yet again, while young-gun Angelo Balanta went behind the wheel prior to passing his official driving test!
But it was January signing Damien Delaney who prevailed, taking the honours from runner-up Dexter Blackstock, with a disappointed Rowlands having to make do with a podium position in third.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Delaney said: "It was a gruelling battle with Dex.
"He pushed me all the way, but to be fair, the class shone through in the end.
"In all fairness, it was the ultimate demonstration in perfect driving."
Delaney also reserved a special word for Lee Camp, who trailed at the back of the field, commenting: "It was like Campy was going for a Sunday morning drive. He was shocking!"
