CARDIFF’S Chris Burke has warned Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers: We’re gunning for the title.
Second placed Bluebirds are level on points with Neil Warnock’s men after their stunning 4-0 win at Leeds last Monday.
But Scottish winger Burke insists that Cardiff, after two seasons of knocking on the Premier League door, are determined to hit top spot against Norwich this weekend.
Burke, 26, said: “We are always chasing top spot. QPR are still unbeaten in the league, so total credit to them for that.
“All we can do is keep knocking on the door. But we are aiming for top spot.
“As players, we want to be in first place in the division. We are second now, but we want to be top.
“Our aim is to get promoted and we are in the right place to do that now.
“I’d like to think we’re a Premier League side in waiting.
“We are showing signs of it and hopefully other teams were watching and see we are a force to be reckoned with.
“We have to maintain it now. We have been knocking on the door for a few seasons.”
